Vinyl Fence Installers in Ocala, FL
Vinyl costs more up front than wood and then stops costing you anything. No staining, no rot, no rusted nails bleeding down the pickets. In Central Florida that trade works out in your favor somewhere around year eight, which is why vinyl has taken over so much of the new construction around Ocala and The Villages.

Quick answer
Vinyl Fence Installers in Ocala, FL. Vinyl privacy fence in Ocala typically runs $38 to $60 per linear foot installed. Picket and ranch rail come in lower, roughly $26 to $40. Free on-site measure, written price, permits pulled, three-year workmanship warranty. Call (352) 555-0142.
Styles we carry
- 6ft tongue-and-groove privacy panels in white, tan, khaki and gray, with flat, arched or lattice-top caps.
- 3ft and 4ft picket fence for front yards and courtyard enclosures, including scalloped and staggered picket runs.
- Two-rail and three-rail ranch fence in white, which is the low-maintenance alternative to painted board fence on small acreage.
- Semi-privacy panels with spaced pickets, used a lot on lots that catch wind off open pasture.
- Matching walk gates and double drive gates with aluminum or steel inserts.
Not all vinyl is the same
- We install virgin, UV-stabilized PVC with titanium dioxide in the formulation. Recycled or regrind vinyl is cheaper and it chalks, yellows and goes brittle under Florida sun.
- Wall thickness matters more than the brochure. Thin-wall panels flex and bow in the heat; we spec heavier extrusions on 6ft privacy runs.
- Every gate frame gets aluminum or steel reinforcement. Unreinforced vinyl gates sag, and a sagging gate is the number one vinyl complaint we get called out to fix.
- Posts are routed, not surface-mounted, so rails lock into the post instead of relying on brackets.
Cost and lifespan
- Vinyl privacy fence in Ocala typically runs $38 to $60 per linear foot installed. Picket and ranch rail come in lower, roughly $26 to $40.
- Expect 25 to 30 years from a quality virgin-vinyl fence here, with essentially no maintenance beyond an occasional rinse with a hose and a soft brush.
- Because there is nothing to stain, the lifetime cost usually comes in under a wood fence that gets sealed properly every three years.
- Most manufacturers back the panels with a limited lifetime warranty against cracking, peeling and excessive fading. We hand you the warranty paperwork at completion.
Where vinyl works best in Marion County
- New-build neighborhoods with HOA color requirements, where white or tan vinyl is often the approved standard.
- Pool enclosures, because vinyl does not splinter, does not rot from splash-out and stays cool enough to touch.
- Horse property perimeters where the owner wants the look of painted board without repainting every two years.
- Coastal-humid back yards under oak canopy where wood stays damp and mildews.

Common questions
Does vinyl fence turn yellow in Florida sun?
Virgin vinyl with titanium dioxide UV inhibitors holds its color for decades. What yellows is recycled regrind material, which is what you get from the cheapest online panels. Ask any installer to name the manufacturer and confirm it is virgin extrusion, not just 'vinyl'.
Will a vinyl fence survive a hurricane?
Properly installed vinyl handles Central Florida wind well because the panels flex. The failure point is almost always the post footing, not the panel. We set vinyl posts in concrete at 30 inches on 6ft privacy runs, and on exposed lots we can add internal post stiffeners.
Can vinyl fence be repaired if a panel breaks?
Yes. Individual rails and pickets slide out of the routed posts, so a damaged section is replaced without dismantling the run. Keep a note of the manufacturer and color, which we include on your invoice.
Is vinyl cheaper than wood?
Not on day one. It is roughly 30 to 50 percent more to install. It becomes cheaper somewhere around year eight to ten once you count staining, board replacement and hardware on the wood fence you did not build.
Other fencing we install
Wood & Privacy Fence
Wood is still the most requested fence in Marion County, and for good reason: it goes up fast, it screens a back yard completely, and it costs less per foot than vinyl or aluminum.

Aluminum gives you the look of wrought iron with none of the rust, which in a climate with daily summer rain and irrigation spray is the entire argument.
